BOSMONT MUSLIM SCHOOL
The school was established in 1994 and opened its doors in 1995 with a single Grade 1 class of ten pioneering learners. Its roots lie in a long-standing culture of learning at the local Islamic Centre, which had offered both morning and afternoon religious tuition to children for decades.
What began as a community-driven initiative to provide quality secular and Islamic education has now grown into a school that has served its community for 30 years. Today, it continues to honour its heritage while striving to improve in all spheres, including innovative educational delivery methods, a strengthened and structured Islamic curriculum, and an ongoing commitment to excellence in all aspects of teaching and learning.
FOUNDATION PHASE
The Bosmont Muslim School Foundation Phase is committed to providing a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experience that aligns with the Gauteng Department of Education’s curriculum expectations while nurturing the holistic growth of every young learner. Classroom instruction focuses on learning through meaningful class experiences, hands-on activities, and guided exploration that build confidence and foundational skills.
Alongside this, the Foundation Phase places a strong emphasis on Basic Islamic Education, introducing learners to Arabic Writing, as well as daily Surahs and Duas that support spiritual grounding and early identity formation. This balanced approach ensures that children develop both strong academic foundations and essential Islamic values from the very start of their schooling journey.
Intermediate PHASE
Building on the strong foundations established in the early years, the Bosmont Muslim School Intermediate Phase deepens learners’ academic and spiritual development through a more structured and comprehensive curriculum. In alignment with the Gauteng Department of Education’s standards, this phase introduces broader and more complex subject content, encouraging learners to think critically, apply knowledge, and engage more independently with their learning.
Islamic Studies are extended to include deeper understanding of key concepts, expanded Surahs and Duas, and more advanced Arabic Reading and Writing skills, enabling learners to confidently connect their daily learning to their faith. Through enriched class experiences, project-based activities, and a supportive learning environment, the Intermediate Phase equips students with strengthened academic capabilities and a growing sense of Islamic identity, preparing them for the demands of the Senior Phase.
SENIOR & FET PHASE
The Bosmont Muslim School Senior and FET Phases are dedicated to equipping learners with the advanced academic, technological, and personal skills needed to excel in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Examinations and beyond. Building on the solid foundations of the earlier phases, these stages introduce greater academic rigor, subject specialisation, and critical thinking, ensuring that learners are well-prepared for the demands of higher education and future career pathways.
Technology-enhanced learning becomes a central feature, with digital tools, online platforms, interactive resources, and data-driven learning support integrated across all subjects to deepen understanding and promote independent study habits. Islamic Studies also advances meaningfully in these phases, incorporating enriched content, digital learning materials, and research-based activities that help learners explore their faith with depth and relevance.
Through a balanced approach that combines academic excellence, technological innovation, and strengthened Islamic identity, the Senior and FET Phases prepare learners to succeed confidently in their NSC examinations and emerge as capable, principled young adults ready to contribute positively to society.
